Annual
Three Village APS Type 1 Benefit Three
Village Auction for a Cure APS Type 1 November
10, 2011 Dear
Friends,
Thank you for your support of this year's Three Village
Basket Raffle to fund APS Type 1 research. The
event was a huge success, and we were able to raise just
over $11,000. Your help continues to make it
possible for us to fund research, that otherwise would
not be done, to find a cure for this disease. All
monies raised go to the National Organization for Rare
Disorders (NORD, www.rarediseases.org) Restricted Grant
Fund APS Type 1. This not-for-profit organization
advertises that the grant monies are available to fund
research specific to APS Type 1. Their staff of
physicians examines the submitted proposals and selects
the best one. Finally, they monitor the ongoing
research.
Going into next years research grant cycle, the
fund has a balance of $41,205 (not including this years
basket raffle) raised toward a goal of $100,000
which will generate our largest grant to date. Since the
start of the NORD APS Type 1 research fund back in 2007,
we have raised a total of $180,150. To learn more
about the research weve funded to date or to learn
more about Autoimmune Polyglandular Syndrome (APS Type
1), please visit www.apstype1.org.
Because of people like you, all of those who live
with APS Type 1 and their families have the hope that one
day there will be a cure. With
our sincerest gratitude, David
and Sherri Seyfert Last Update: 11/16/11 |
